Simply Music: Online Piano Lessons Review
We received a free copy of the Music & Creativity – Foundation Course from Simply Music in exchange for this review.
As a classical model homeschooler, music and fine arts are very much a part of what we do regularly. I’ll admit that finding quality music instruction in a digital format is a struggle. When we were introduced to the Simply Music program, I was quite excited..so were the kids.
Each of our kids already has at least one instrument to practice, so I thought asking them to take a look at Music & Creativity – Foundation Course was going to be a struggle. I imagined the groaning before I even got around to asking them. But, soldier on we must! So I prepared myself for the groaning. I honestly thought they would really enjoy it once they gave it a shot.
I love it when I’m right!
My son (10.5) settled in with the keyboard, and his headphones over the earbuds set-up so he could hear the tracks on the computer and hear himself play all at the same time. The best bit was that he didn’t feel nervous about mistakes since we weren’t able to listen in until he was ready to give us his performance.
I was so surprised that he was eager to give us a little taster concert of what he had learned after just 2 lessons. Talk about a confidence boost! He was having so much fun with the Music & Creativity – Foundation Course.

The Concert
I thought you might enjoy a short video concert with my son. He’s only on lesson 4 of 20+ lessons and is enjoying himself so much! He’s learning to explore music in different ways than his other music teachers offer. Adding this course has brought a spark to his creativity as he learns to explore and feel the music rather than just read notes on a page. Over the summer, he will continue to course. I can’t wait to see what his next concert be!
I asked my son what were the top 3 things he enjoyed most about Simply Music. He said:
- The easy to follow video instruction.
- The downloadable MP3 files so he could play without being online.
- Really playing enjoyable music after just a couple of lessons.
Thanks Simply Music for such a fun, creative and well-rounded digital approach to piano lessons.
