There are a variety of ways to approach learning about the southeastern United States. What’s important is that it is fun, engaging, and creates a love of learning.
You could simply take a subject such as Presidents, the American Revolution, or even American art and study what each of the 12 southeastern States contributes to the subject. Wanting to explore Literature? Then complete all literature resources provided. The ideas and options are endless!

Here is a sample one week schedule to use with each section.
Day 1: Literature – Start reading a book associated. When finished, write a book report** or give a presentation about the book.
Day 2: Geography & State Facts – Using your workbook, complete the geography & state facts section.
Day 3: Brief State History & Famous People – Learn about the history and complete any corresponding worksheets.
Day 4: Famous Places – Learn about famous people & places. Complete any corresponding worksheets.
Day 5: Finish Up – Finish any reading or worksheets for the week & present what you learned to your family or learning community using the resources included here.
