Photography For Teens
I don’t know about you, but finding digital curricula to help your middle and high school students have electives they really enjoy that are beneficial in life and may even give them an edge in their university applications or job interviews are sometimes hard to find. What’s available for electives? Is there something I could use for photography for teens that wasn’t going to break the curriculum budget?
There are great courses out there, but sometimes, you just want to build your own. Or better yet, let your tween/teen take ownership and build a curriculum they can be passionate about that will satisfy a high school transcript.
It got me to thinking…
My daughter really wants to take a photography class, and honestly, I don’t know the first thing about good photography, much less how to put together an elective photography for teens course. I wouldn’t know a good course from a bad one. So I decided to take a look at online photography courses. Everything began to make sense on how to create a “build your own” elective really easily.

If your student has a camera phone and a place to edit photos (their phone, or laptop), you have all you need to get going. And if you are thinking of an expensive camera as a gift, then building your own photography elective with online courses like these is a no-brainer. It will provide all the teaching resources you need for becoming an awesome photographer at the price a homeschooler can afford.
