Visit a Medieval Castle
Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino) is an imposing castle on the waterfront just a few minutes walk from the Archaeology Museum. It’s impressive. When we were there It had a lovely art exhibit on the ground floor and then you could walk up to the top if you wanted, and it was free. Gotta love that! It would be another perfect place to take a picnic lunch and enjoy the view.
Take a Hike
For your more athletic or energetic kids, hiking Mt. Vesuvius or Campi Flegrei might be good choices. It’s a great opportunity to think about the geology and geography of the region for a bit.
