Learn From The Past. Explore The Future.

After too many ‘family field trips’ to world-famous museums, I realized we were not well prepared for the level of knowledge and understanding of the people and places that made the museum famous.

I found my kids were either overwhelmed or uninterested in the exhibits. They didn’t have a good understanding of what they were looking at or interacting with. They struggled to connect science to its place in history. Fron a homeschool academic perspective, it often felt like a waste of time and money.

So I created these unit studies for us to use before, during, or after a museum visit. The kids responded with excitement and expectation of what they were going to see and experience on their next field trip.

In the process, I found the most delightful resources at museums to include in the Famous Scientist courses.

To get the most out of your Famous Scientist bundle, you will want to incorporate museum visits & science experiments. If that idea overwhelms you. You’ll want to think about using the Genius Guide to Home School Learning. It’s all about how to use the world as your textbook for science and history.
