Must-Have Travel Essentials
BE FLEXIBLE.
Plan for delays. You might decide to stay an extra day or add another excursion. Try not to get upset if things go wrong. Patience and flexibility are vital when traveling.
MAKE A LIST.
A few weeks before your trip, make a list of items you don’t want to forget. I’ve learned that when I think of something, I need to write it down. Grab the “Pack Less. Travel More.” packing guide for help.
LEARN A FEW PHRASES
A simple “Please,” “Thank you,” and “I’m sorry” in the local language goes a long way. I also like to learn the word for wine and coffee, but that’s just me. Rocket Languages has everything you need.
BRING A SARONG.
Sarongs can be used as a wrap when you are cold, a towel, a curtain, or a piece of clothing that can be worn in dozens of different ways. Solid colors are great, but if you want something that stands out, I love this sarong.
ALWAYS BUY TRAVEL INSURANCE
A medical emergency can wipe out your savings — or even worse. We use and trust Allianz Travel Insurance for travel insurance.

Why Travel?
Travel is an adventure. Whether you’re traveling for business, on a one-week family holiday, or have sold everything to pursue a life on the road, traveling can make you a happier person by building self-confidence, providing new experiences and memories, breaking the routine, and allowing you to meet people from all over the world. As Mark Twain said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
It starts with a dream, and a passion to go.
The Dream. Plan. Go! Mini Travel Planning Course will help ignite the dream, map out the plan and find the gear to go wherever your travel dreams take you.
